It is quite essential to know the following issues whilst travelling.

What is my allowance if I travel alone?

Economy class: Your maximum allowance 30Kg for Kabul-DxB-Kabul, otherwise it is 20Kg per head. Please check Baggage allowance.

Business Class: Your maximum allowance 40Kg for Kabul-DxB-Kabul, otherwise it is 30Kg

What is my allowance if I travel with infant, children and pets?

When you are travelling in any classes of service with an infant you would be allowed wit an extra baggage of 10Kg.

Children over 2 years would have the same allowance you have.

Pets are not permitted in the cabin, but pets must be carried as checked baggage in the hold. Every single pet container is charged as two pieces of excess baggage.

What is cabin allowance?

We are delighted to offer you our generous free hand baggage allowance, which you take onto the aircraft with you. But size and weight limit would apply that the weight should be 5 Kg and the size should be as following:


 

What is my allowance if I am a disable person?

Kam Air takes care of passengers with special requirements. These passengers are entitled to certain additional baggage allowances, free of cost but subject to the following limitations:

  • Passengers who use wheelchair might travel with a fully collapsible wheelchair stored in the aircraft hold.
  • Passengers travelling with motorised wheelchairs should contact us before commencing their journey.
  • Passengers who travel portable kidney dialysis machine would be entitled to have one machine and additional equipments would be kept in the aircraft hold.
  • We regret to say that assistance dogs of vision would be loaded in the hold in kennels and will not be permitted in the cabin.
  • Wheelchairs will be carried irrespective of weight.

 

 

 


What is my allowance if I carry sport equipments and music instruments?

Bicycles will not be considered as sport equipment and it is in fact part of your baggage, incurring excess baggage charges if required.

Self contained underwater breathing equipment is allowed that normally consists of diving flippers, suits, masks, buoyancy, snorkels, control devices, etc.

In accordance with the IATA regulations, Self contained underwater breathing equipment is subject to normal excess baggage charges, unless does not exceed the free baggage allowance. This regulation applies to other sport equipments such as balls, trainers, hockey, baseball, and cricket’s bats too.

Safety concern

All cabin baggage must fit under the seat in front of each passenger if necessary, but mainly hand baggage should fit in the overhead lockers in the cabin. Bags, briefcases, or other items are not allowed to be placed behind passengers' legs and it is quite essential that cabin baggage must not obstruct aisles or emergency exits, as this is prohibited by the Civil Aviation Authority. The limitation on weight obviously minimise the risk of injury to passengers.

What should I have in my baggage?

Please note that banned, restricted and dangerous goods are articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment.

Restrictions on the quantities of liquids, gels or pastes are:

  • They must be within the in individual containers not exceeding 100ml.The containers must be carried in a separate see-trough plastic bag, zip-lock or re-sealable.
  • If you wish to travel with any such goods, you should be fully aware of the regulations and any action you might need to take.

What should not I have in my baggage?


Dangerous Goods, those are articles or substances which pose health and safety hazards to passengers or damage the aircraft. Dangerous goods are also referred to as restricted articles, hazardous materials and dangerous cargo. Carrying such items is principally regulated by Civil Aviation Regulations. Items falling under the category of Dangerous Goods are not allowed in passenger baggage, neither in checked not in cabin baggage. The crews of the airlines are not exempt of currying the above goods too.

 

What should I do if my baggage is lost?

If your baggage misplaced or lost, Kam Air would make every effort to return it to you as quick as possible, but you at least allow us 72 hours. Click here to read more about.
